Bicentenary Treasure Hunt

DATES

18 - 19 Jul 2026

LOCATION

Goole town centre (tickets from Primrose Gifts, 30 Carlisle Street)

SAFETY

This is a town-centre walking trail: children should be accompanied by an adult and take care when crossing roads between locations.

Goole Civic Society’s family treasure hunt sends you around the town centre over the Big Bicentenary Weekend, 18-19 July 2026. Buy a numbered ticket for £2 — just 300 are available — from Primrose Gifts at 30 Carlisle Street between 16 and 18 July, or online through the Civic Society’s shop, then explore the shop windows and venues of the town centre to find the location displaying your matching number and claim your prize.

Local businesses have donated a prize pot worth several hundred pounds, including vouchers, hampers, tickets and more, with around 30 prize locations taking part across town — from Morrisons to the Victoria Pleasure Grounds — and a star prize offered by the Briarcroft Hotel. It’s a fun, low-cost way for local families to rediscover the town centre during the bicentenary celebrations.
